Supporting the future business strategy of Southern Water

We have been appointed to Southern Water’s Business Management Consultancy framework, as the water company adapts its organisational model to support future business strategy.

We secured a place on Lot 1 of the framework, covering people, process and system improvement, evolution of the organisational design and operating model, as well as cultural change management.

The framework will be in place for four years and covers the majority of Asset Management Period 7 (AMP7) of the Ofwat regulated water companies, which began in April 2020 and finishes in 2025.

Southern Water’s business plan includes ambitious targets around water conservation and network resilience, alongside a commitment to reduce bills by more than three percent for water and wastewater customers. The water sector in England and Wales has committed to reaching net zero carbon emissions by 2030.

We secured a place on the framework following a competitive procurement process, highlighting its successful track record in creating and managing change programmes across major infrastructure organisations.

Director Jason Jones said:

As climate change and population growth creates unprecedented demand on the network, Southern Water has set out a clear business plan over the next four years that will deliver for the environment and for customers.

“We look forward to supporting Southern Water on that journey through a dynamic programme of organisational investment and change.”
