Appointed to support Siemens’ new high-tech production facility in Singapore

German technology company Siemens has appointed our Singapore team to provide project management and cost consulting services for its new production facility in Singapore to serve a growing Southeast Asian market.

Set to begin construction in 2024, the new high-tech production facility in Singapore will ramp up production for Siemen’s industrial automation and digitalisation products to meet increased global demand.

The factory will be developed using Siemens' own leading digital twin and innovative, intelligent hardware technologies, setting a new standard for connectivity and incorporate highly automated advanced manufacturing processes.

The construction of this new production facility in Singapore is part of Siemens’ €2bn (approx. £1.7bn) global strategy to expand the firm’s manufacturing capacity and build innovation labs, education centres and other facilities worldwide. A recognised market leader in the global industrial economy, Siemens expects additional growth potential for digital industries, smart infrastructure and mobility in their core markets over the next five years.

This appointment builds on our own strong 25-year track record of global project delivery for Siemens. We have successfully delivered over 30 projects for the company worldwide, a third of which are in Asia.

Our Singapore team has supported Siemens from the technical due diligence (TDD) stage and are now into the project delivery phase for this new facility. It is expected to be operational by 2025 or 2026.

Ali Mohmadi, Director, Real Estate, Singapore, said:

This appointment is a further opportunity for us to harness our wider industrial, science and technology expertise from high-tech projects worldwide to support Siemens in raising its global manufacturing capabilities and competitive advantage in Asia.

"We look forward to applying our comprehensive, evidence-based approach to project and cost management to delivering yet another key capital asset for Siemens to help strengthen its market leadership in digitalisation and automation technologies worldwide."
