Transforming the Quai Zurich Campus with Zurich Insurance Group

Project overview
Expanding Salesforce’s geographical footprint
Salesforce’s state-of-the-art 10,000 sq ft office, located in Dubai’s Internet City, marks a significant milestone in the company’s Middle Eastern expansion, reflecting its commitment to innovation with artificial intelligence agents, customer success and growth.
Appointed in 2023, we supported the delivery of Salesforce’s first office in the region. The office features both formal and informal meeting areas, high-end meeting rooms, multifunctional spaces, open-plan workstations, focused work zones and a social lounge.
Advanced technology integration ensures the office meets Salesforce’s global standards, fostering an innovative and productive work environment.
Ensuring seamless project delivery
We provided comprehensive project management, cost and commercial management, and sustainability consulting services. Leveraging local knowledge and global expertise, we guided Salesforce through the design and construction phases.
Our team coordinated a globally dispersed workforce, maintained consistent communication and adhered to Salesforce’s design guidelines. This involved significant on-site work and extensive reporting, ensuring client confidence in our ability to deliver the project successfully. Our efforts facilitated an efficient and seamless approach for Salesforce’s first venture in the Middle East, overcoming challenges such as global team coordination and remote client site visits.
We also delivered the project within schedule and under budget by implementing a robust programme, including early engagement with local authorities and a dynamic procurement plan.
Driving sustainability and economic development in the UAE
The project is on-track to achieve LEED Gold certification, reflecting Salesforce’s strong commitment to sustainability. The certification was targeted by enhancing performance across various categories, including location and transport, water efficiency, energy and atmosphere, materials and resources and indoor environmental quality.
Key strategies included efficient lighting with occupancy and daylight sensors, low-emitting materials, optimised flow/flush rates, CO2 sensors in densely occupied areas, sustainable construction waste management and enhanced commissioning for mechanical and electrical systems.
This new office aligns also with the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33) for inclusive, sustainable progress, attracting investments and fostering economic growth. The office has created employment opportunities and is poised to attract further investment from across the region and beyond.
“I am extremely satisfied with the whole Turner & Townsend team who have worked on and delivered the Salesforce Dubai project.
"With all the Salesforce team being remote, it has been essential to have a team on the ground that we can trust to look after the best interests of Salesforce and provide quality and reliable local advice.”
