Supporting Network Rail’s UK North West & Central Region

We have been appointed to Network Rail’s Programme & Project Management Services framework for the North West & Central (NW&C) Region, as the infrastructure company continues to deliver enhancements and renewals across Britain’s railway network.

Working together with other leading industry suppliers, our teams based in Manchester, Birmingham, Nottingham and London will provide programme and project management services throughout the northwest, Midlands and southeast.

The framework has been designed to support capital delivery enhancements, renewal projects, new station builds and signalling programmes along Network Rail’s NW&C Region, including programme and project management service requirements to align the infrastructure to HS2's programme of works. The framework will run for three years, with the possibility of a two-year extension.

This appointment builds upon our existing nationwide work with Network Rail, including our ongoing support to several other frameworks, such as Operational Programme Delivery, Project Delivery Services and NW&C Planning and Controls. This is in addition to the multidisciplinary services we provide for a portfolio of Network Rail’s major programmes and projects, such as their TransPennine Route Upgrade, Midlands Rail Hub, the On Network Works programme, Hope Valley upgrade, electrification of the Wigan to Bolton line, and much more.

Northwest Regional Lead for Infrastructure, Richie Hales, commented:

"Our infrastructure business across the UK continues to go from strength to strength with growth across all sectors. However, with an enjoyable 20-year history, our relationship with Network Rail has been an integral part of our business and we’re delighted to be able to build on this further through this appointment."

With our growing rail sector capability, we have the skills and experience to deliver Network Rail’s capital investment and renewals portfolio in the NW&C region. Our values and behaviours will ensure a collaborative approach with both the client and its other suppliers, all of which feeds into Network Rail’s wider mission of ‘putting the passenger first’.

"We will invest in training and upskilling to create opportunities for local talent while providing existing on-the-ground expertise. Being a global business with a local presence, we’re also able to draw on our global programme management knowledge to provide the most efficient and productive services."
