South Africa team wins two Professional Market Research Excellence awards

Our South Africa team has been recognised for its achievements in several categories at the PMR.africa Excellence awards for a second consecutive year.

The awards ceremony, which was planned for early 2020 was postponed to 12 August due to the coronavirus pandemic and lockdown regulations in South Africa.

Professional Market Research (PMR) is a leading South African research company who run an annual national survey on project managers in South Africa. This year we won the ‘Diamond Arrow Award for Project Management’ – the highest rated overall in the country and the ‘Gold Arrow Award for Quantity Surveying and Cost Management’, the second rated in quantity surveying countrywide.

The annual survey entails interviews with hundreds of key professionals from the construction industry, including contractors, developers, architects and quantity surveyors. It sees consultancies rated across a range of various attributes such as problem solving, capacity to understand the project, technical competence and understanding and commitment to the clients’ interests.

Stephen McCartney, Regional Managing Director in Africa, commented:

The PMR.africa Excellence Awards are highly recognised within the construction industry as both a measure of reputation and acknowledgement in the market for technical excellence and brand awareness.

"Winning the prestigious PMR Diamond Arrow award in Project Management and being recognised as ‘best in class’ in project management and quantity surveying by our industry peers is hugely rewarding for all of us in South Africa in what has been a challenging year for the profession.”
