Commenting on his win, Alan Talabani, Regional Managing Director said:

Being recognised as Executive of the Year is a huge personal honour, but it really highlights our entire team’s relentless commitment to providing our clients with the highest level of service excellence. Having grown from strength to strength over the past 12 months I am thrilled to see our fantastic work recognised by our peers. Our global, sector-based operating model enables us to fully align with our clients' specific requirements, providing them with specialised services and insights, and ensuring we can work together to transform performance on the region's biggest projects.

Our Contract Services team in the Middle East was also named 'Specialist Consulting Company of the Year'. Recognising consultancies providing niche expertise, the judges acknowledged the exceptional industry talent in the team and 50 percent year-on-year growth in workload requirements.

It has established itself as the specialist team of choice for clients navigating complex challenges across construction projects in the region. This includes launching a helpdesk to support Middle East clients with COVID-19 contract issues and helping them to take practical measures to manage their projects operating under typical contracts used in the Gulf region.

Ryan Shalabi, Director and Head of Contract Services, Middle East comments:

Receiving this accolade is a testament to our Contract Services team's exceptionally hard work and dedication across the region. The team is committed to shaping the future of construction for our clients and continues to uphold our high standards of service excellence and professional market knowledge.

The eight edition of the annual event recognised key individuals and companies across 23 categories. MEC 2022 set a significant benchmark by hosting over 300 guests from across the GCC construction industry at the Ritz Carlton JBR on 7 December 2022.
