Ryan Shalabi

Ryan is the Head of our Middle East Contract Services team and is based in the United Arab Emirates. He has over twenty years’ experience as a chartered quantity surveyor specialising in claims, dispute resolution and expert witness services.

Ryan provides independent advice to clients and contractors on contractual and quantum matters relating to complex construction and infrastructure projects.

He is regularly called upon to provide support and guidance to parties through the complexities of dispute resolution, arbitration and litigation and to advise on strategic considerations that inform their direction. He also acts as a third party independent expert to help parties avoid formal disputes and arrive at early amicable settlements.

Ryan also acts as a quantum expert witness in litigation and arbitration matters and has extensively testified in both English and Arabic language.

He is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, has an LLM in Construction Law and Arbitration and is a RICS accredited mediator.
