Enhancing our Malaysia leadership team with senior industry appointments
We have appointed Sr Dr Ong See Lian, former Global President of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), and Sr Amnah Salleh to our senior-management team in Malaysia.
Dr Ong joins our cost management team as Strategic Advisor, and Amnah as Director, Cost Management. Both bring extensive industry experience, local-market expertise and professional capabilities to our business as we seek to expand our offering in real estate, infrastructure and natural resources.
Dr Ong served as the 130th Global President for RICS and was the first Malaysian to hold that role. During his career, he has held several chairmanship and presidency roles with leading industry bodies, including with the International Construction Measurement Standard Setting Committee, the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM), Pacific Association of Quantity Surveyors and Commission 10 of the Federation of International Surveyors (FIG).
Dr Ong’s career spans 50 years, starting with the Malaysian Public Works Department and working across the public and private sectors in the construction and real-estate industry. Over this time, he has received numerous industry awards for his contributions to the quantity surveying (QS) profession and construction industry.
Amnah has 30 years of professional experience in real estate and infrastructure, covering residential, office and commercial developments, healthcare and manufacturing facilities, light rail transit (LRT) stations and other infrastructure projects in her career.
She is RISM’s active committee lead and current chair for both the Publicity & Promotion, Quantity Surveying Division and Taskforce for QS Consultancy Contract. She has previously served on the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and Disciplinary Committee for the Board of Quantity Surveyors Malaysia (BQSM), and various taskforces for the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB).
