Appointed by His Majesty’s Government to deliver UK Pavilion at 2025 Osaka Expo

We have been appointed by His Majesty’s Government (HMG), Department for Business and Trade (DBT), to provide consultancy services throughout the full project delivery of the UK Pavilion at the World Expo 2025. The Expo will be held in Osaka Kansai, Japan from 13 April to 13 October 2025.

Our international team, working within the UK and Japanese markets, will provide project and cost management to HMG, DBT, supporting with contractor management from the design and construction phases, through to successful completion of the UK pavilion.

The UK’s first major content-led World Expo Pavilion will embody the British spirit and showcase the UK’s strengths and innovation in science, technological integration and creativity.

Throughout key delivery stages of the project (including technical design, construction, maintenance and decommissioning) our teams in the UK and Japan will help to manage design integration, monitor and control costs and track construction progress.

We will be working alongside a team of experts, including Immersive International as concept and lead experiential designer. We will also be working with ES Global who will be responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of the pavilion building, using demountable architecture, and the latest energy-efficient technologies, materials and systems.

Over 120 countries have confirmed participation at the Expo 2025, with an estimated 28m visitors expected over the six-month duration, according to the Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition. The theme for the event is ‘Designing Future Society for Our Lives’, which aims to be a key platform to help drive efforts to achieve the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030.

This appointment builds upon our global portfolio of work with World Expo 2025, including our appointment earlier this year to support the Singapore Tourism Board with their Singapore Pavilion, as well as project management of the Australian Pavilion on behalf of the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT).

Mark Ward, Director, Central & Local Government, UK, said:
