Project overview

How do you deliver one of the world's most ambitious urban parks?

King Salman Park is a landmark project at the centre of Riyadh’s future. At 16 sq km, it will be one of the world’s largest city parks, setting a new benchmark for urban green space globally.

The development brings together an extraordinary mix of cultural, recreational and natural attractions, including the Royal Arts Complex, museums, sports facilities, an equestrian centre and an 8,000-seat outdoor theatre. A central part of Saudi Vision 2030, King Salman Park supports the Kingdom’s ambition to position Riyadh among the world’s most sustainable and liveable cities.

Project story

Leading cost strategy and controls on a transformative project

In 2021, we were appointed as Executive Cost Manager for the programme’s multibillion-dollar capital budget, with responsibility for the entire development – from buildings and parkland to tunnels, roads, landscaping and essential infrastructure.

We began by bringing together cost plans from the design and engineering teams and setting a clear procurement strategy to keep the programme on budget. By staying closely involved – providing value engineering, cost control, procurement advice and contract administration – we help maintain cost certainty across this ambitious, evolving programme.

Building a legacy for Riyadh and its future generations

King Salman Park is one of four mega developments currently reshaping Riyadh. It will help boost the city’s economy, create thousands of skilled jobs and offer more ways for people to live well, stay active and connect with nature.

By providing continuity, expertise and independent insight, we are helping the foundation deliver a project that will define Riyadh’s transformation – creating a destination for residents and visitors to enjoy today, and a legacy for future generations.
