Senior Cost Manager, Singapore
In my role as Senior Cost Manager, I am responsible for overseeing the cost of construction projects from initiation to completion. I handle a variety of tasks related to estimating, planning, procurement, value engineering and reporting. This is so I can effectively advise clients on the commercial aspects of their projects and collaborate with other consultants at different stages of a project lifecycle.
I have worked on a diverse range of projects across different sectors and sizes. These include education, car showrooms, and corporate office fit-outs schemes, as well as alteration works to a shopping mall and work on a large-scale airport programmes.
Having an understanding of different clients and project types has been invaluable for me in my career, providing me with learning opportunities which have informed how I can support my clients more effectively.

A. Since joining our business, I have experienced significant growth and development in my career as I moved from a junior role to a more senior position, thanks to the company’s commitment to professional development and continuous learning for our people.
Q. Which project are you most proud of being involved in at Turner & Townsend?
A. I am most proud of my involvement in an airport project in Singapore. It was where I expanded my expertise beyond cost and contract management to include construction planning and procurement strategy. It was a valuable learning opportunity through on-the-job experience.
Q. How do you contribute to Turner & Townsend making a difference?
A. I make a difference at Turner & Townsend by leveraging my professional skills as a cost manager and complement this with a mindset of continuous learning and diversification of project experience. This means that I am better prepared to support a wide range of clients and project teams, drawing upon the knowledge I’ve acquired on previous projects.
I see evidence of my value in the positive feedback that I’ve received from clients during my time in our business and this motivates me to make the difference in each commission I’m involved in.
