Client’s requirements

The project comprises of the fit-out of an entire level as well as renovation works to the facade and roof.

The 1,550m² large office floor is designed with single and open plan offices, a conference room, mechanical rooms, sanitary and kitchen facilities.

The consular and visa department for the public offers a generous waiting area and four visa counters. The integration of all elements of the access control requirements is another essential task.

Our contribution

Turner & Townsend Munich has been appointed as general planner by the Federal Foreign Office (FFO) and is responsible for all design and construction stages, project management and cost management. We also coordinate the German MEP, structural and fire safety consultants. Additionally, we are managing the delivery of works by the general contractor to ensure the project is delivered to the Consulate’s high security and quality standards.

Turner & Townsend Cape Town has been appointed to support with project management services during the entire duration of the project. They ensure the project complies with local standards and regulations.

During the construction phase, we undertake site visits on a regular basis to check on the quality and implementation of German standards and construction progress. Our local team ensures a constant progress on site.
