With a proven international track record in complex major projects, I take an independent, pragmatic and supportive expert approach when working with our clients on their underperforming or distressed projects and programmes.
At any point across the project life cycle, I support clients to diagnose poorly performing or failing 'in-flight' projects and programmes. I find the root causes of project distress and advise on the improvements, interventions and recovery actions needed to retake control in order to improve delivery confidence and investment certainty.

I am an experienced advisory and built asset expert with over 35 years of international experience advising public and private sector clients on the planning, delivery and recovery of complex major projects and programmes.

As well as being a Chartered Surveyor, I hold a Business MBA and am also a leading Testifying Expert in Quantum and Performance Management matters.

I operate at senior board level for international clients, funders, developers, consultants and contractors, providing them with the strategic and tactical insight needed to improve their project delivery performance in uncertain and challenging markets.

Q. What attracted you to join Turner & Townsend?

A. Access to the world’s biggest clients and most complex and challenging projects and programmes.

Q. How do you contribute to Turner & Townsend making a difference?

A. My deep sector expertise and understanding of effective delivery strategies allows me to intervene and review underperforming or distressed projects to provide clients with the knowledge and tools to recover and continually improve.

Q. Detail any specialist skills or experience for which you are known.

A. Having had senior board level leadership roles with consultants, clients and the Big Four internationally gives me unique insight. This enables me to understand the bigger client picture into which our service solutions need to fit.

Q. What do you most enjoy most about working at Turner & Townsend?

A. I enjoy working across segments, service disciplines and geographical teams to blend the right skill mix to support our clients, whatever their needs may be and wherever they may be placed across the world.

Q. What is the emerging trend in your industry specialism and how are you responding to this?

A. The size and level of complexity of major projects and programmes is constantly increasing across the world. So too is the complexity of leadership, management and decision-making reliance needed to deliver the desired client outcomes.

Inevitably, this complexity results in increasing challenges in effective and timely decision making, project governance, performance controls, communication and reporting. If left unchecked or without review and intervention by project owners, this threatens the ultimate success of the endeavour.
