Delivering the landmark First Building in Australia's newest and greenest city

Bradfield City Centre’s First Building will be a state-of-the-art, multi-purpose facility that will house a viewing centre for the community to visit and watch the new city being built in real time. The First Building will also house the first stage of the Advanced Manufacturing and Research Facility (AMRF) - a dedicated space for technology research and industry to work together.

We have been appointed to provide project management services for the construction of the 3,850m2 mass timber frame building that will hold a 6 Star Green Star rating and leading sustainability objectives.

Bradfield City Centre in Western Sydney aims to be Australia’s most advanced, connected, and greenest city with the First Building targeting world-leading sustainability ratings.

The First Building will set the tone for Australia’s newest city. Surrounded by a glass façade, a fully integrated technology hall for the testing and development of robotics, virtual reality and materials technologies will allow visitors to observe the AMRF in action.

The facility will provide a shared platform to bring large enterprises, research institutions and subject matter experts throughout the value chain together in a variety of offices and workspaces. It will connect Western Sydney and New South Wales manufacturers with advanced technologies and opportunities, helping local businesses grow while supporting the creation of new high-skilled jobs.

Adrian McLay, Director, said:

Delivering Bradfield City Centre’s First Building will be a bold beginning to Australia’s newest city, and in one of the country’s fastest growing regions.

"This high-tech hub will transform and spearhead the growth of Australia’s advanced manufacturing industry in both a sustainable and inclusive way for residents of the Western Parkland City."
