Turner & Townsend appointed to Manchester Airports Group professional services framework
Turner & Townsend, the global professional services company, has been appointed to Manchester Airports Group’s (MAG) professional services framework, supporting the delivery of its capital investment programmes across the Group’s UK airports.
MAG owns and operates Manchester, London Stansted and East Midlands airports, serving millions of passengers each year and playing a critical role in regional and national connectivity and economic growth.
Under the framework, Turner & Townsend will provide a range of project and cost and commercial management and programme management office services, supporting MAG’s capital investment programmes across the North and South regions, as well as providing independent cost consultancy services.
The framework will run for five years, with the option to extend it for another three years. It will help deliver major projects that improve airport infrastructure, enhance passenger experience and strengthen day‑to‑day operations.
The appointment builds on Turner & Townsend’s long‑standing relationship with MAG, which spans more than 30 years. Over this time, Turner & Townsend has supported the Group across a wide range of programmes, including Phase 2 of the Transformation Programme at Manchester Airport, Future Security Programmes at Manchester, East Midlands and Stansted and wider capital delivery works across the airport estate.
The framework will also support wider social value outcomes, including the creation of local apprenticeships and engagement with local schools, helping to develop skills and employment opportunities in the communities surrounding MAG’s airports.
James Corrigan, Managing Director, Infrastructure, UK at Turner & Townsend, said:
We are thrilled to be appointed to MAG’s professional services framework and to continue our longstanding relationship with one of the UK’s most important airport groups.
“This appointment reflects our experience in delivering complex capital programmes in operational environments and our shared focus on improving performance, resilience and sustainability across critical national infrastructure.”
