We’re inspiring young people to reach their full potential in the built environment sector.
Supporting young people into the world of work
Since 2022, we’e been partnered with Construction Youth Trust to support their Pathways to Professional Careers programme, an initiative that helps young people from underrepresented backgrounds to succeed in their future careers. The programme focuses on students aged 16-18 who aim to embark on higher-level degree apprenticeships in the construction industry.
Through our partnership, we host an annual Live Vacancy Day, giving young people practical experience and real insight into the workplace. Young people participants take placete in mock assessment centre activities and interviews, building confidence in the application process and learning what employers look for.
The event also highlights our early careers programmes and includes conversations with current apprentices, many of whom began their journey with Construction Youth Trust.
We also offer work experience placements, providing young people with the opportunity to build networks, gain practical skills and explore the career pathways available at Turner & Townsend and across the industry.
Spotlight on our Live Vacancy Day
For our third Live Vacancy Day, we welcomed over 300 young people to our London office. The event featured introductions to our core capabilities and a panel discussion with graduates and apprentices. This included three former students who worked with Construction Youth Trust who are now part of Turner & Townsend.
