Enhancing manufacturing capacity without disruption
As part of Siemens’ Smart Infrastructure division, the local production facilities specialize in manufacturing equipment for medium-voltage power distribution. To meet rising global demand, Siemens needed to scale up operations without pausing production.
The solution is a carefully sequenced programme designed to upgrade production and support facilities alongside critical infrastructure improvements. This phased approach enables Siemens to transition
Coordination keeping the programme on track
We’re providing integrated project management and cost and commercial management across the full programme, working closely with Siemens Real Estate’s global and local teams and its internal client, SI EA (Smart Infrastructure – Electrification and Automation).
Strong coordination and open communication have been key to keeping the programme on track. We’ve embedded a ‘one team’ mindset across all parties, enabling the team to make faster decisions and stay ahead of potential issues.
Regular coordination meetings with the global and local teams ensure clear communication across geographies, functions and time zones.
This integrated approach is already delivering tangible results, from keeping the programme under budget to ensuring delivery aligns seamlessly with Siemens’ operational targets.
Generating local jobs and lower emissions
The complete programme is designed with energy efficiency in mind, supporting Siemens’ global decarbonisation goals. The facilities will benefit from smarter building systems, lower-impact materials and improved operational performance, contributing to Siemens’ target of net zero by 2050.
The programme is also driving local impact. At peak, it will create more than 200 construction jobs in Querétaro, with further employment expected as production capacity increases.
