Turner & Townsend named Consultant of the Year at the Building Awards 2025
Turner & Townsend, the global professional services company, has been named Consultant of the Year (over 100 staff) at the Building Awards 2025, one of the most prestigious events in the UK built environment calendar.
This accolade marks another milestone in Turner & Townsend’s journey, following the successful combination with CBRE’s project management and building consultancy team earlier this year.
The partnership has strengthened the firm’s global capability, bringing together complementary expertise to deliver data-driven, sustainable outcomes for clients worldwide.
Overall, judges were impressed by Turner & Townsend’s "outstanding financial performance and a strong international presence that showcases the quality of talent within UK construction."
"Under influential leadership, they have delivered real impact by focusing on critical national issues, high-growth sectors and client-driven innovation. Their bespoke tools and agile response to market conditions highlight a business that is both forward-thinking and deeply valuable to its clients."
Chris Sargent, Real Estate Managing Director, UK, at Turner & Townsend, added:
“Winning Consultant of the Year at the Building Awards 2025 is a tremendous achievement and a testament to the dedication of our people.“
This recognition comes at a pivotal time in our growth journey, through combining forces with CBRE’s project management and building consultancy team and strategic investments in clean energy and digital innovation, we’ve strengthened our capability and expanded our reach.
“Our success is built on the trust of our clients, the strength of our partnerships and the passion of our teams worldwide.”
The consultancy was also recognised with the Digital Excellence Award for its digital transformation programme, in recognition of the team’s commitment to innovation and its leadership in driving digital change across the built environment.
The judges praised the programme for its “impact on project delivery and its role in setting new standards for digital integration in construction”.
With over 6,000 employees in the UK, the consultancy is supporting over half of the nation’s most significant projects across healthcare, clean energy, transport and defence. These include more than 2.5m square feet of battery manufacturing facilities. It's also involved in Sheffield Forgemasters’ 13,000-tonne forging line, the delivery of 17,200 new hospital beds and the creation of 20,000 new prison spaces.
The Building Awards 2025 were hosted on 4 November at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London, celebrating industry leaders driving the future of construction and the built environment.
