Turner & Townsend appoints Yan Zhou to lead its Greater China Energy and Infrastructure team
Turner & Townsend, the global professional services company, has strengthened its regional leadership in Asia with the appointment of Yan Zhou as Director of Energy and Infrastructure, Greater China. Based in Hong Kong, Yan brings more than 20 years of global experience in delivering major energy and infrastructure programmes across the UK, Europe, Hong Kong and Mainland China.
Yan joins Turner & Townsend from the Construction Industry Council (Hong Kong), where he was Assistant Director – Industry Development. He has also held senior roles at Jacobs and KBR based in the UK.
A seasoned programme leader, Yan has overseen the successful delivery of complex projects spanning oil and gas, renewable energy, nuclear, highways, railways, tunnelling, residential developments and major institutional buildings.
His experience covers every stage of the asset lifecycle, from strategic planning and governance through to commercial assurance and programme execution. He is Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) and the Chartered Management Institute (CMI).
In his new role, Yan will guide the continued expansion of Turner & Townsend’s energy and infrastructure business across Greater China. He will focus on major programme capture and delivery for both public and private clients, supporting the region’s rapidly evolving investment landscape. Central to his mandate is strengthening the connection between infrastructure delivery and the region’s long‑term energy transition and decarbonisation goals.
Yan will also play a key role in shaping best practice across the industry; drawing on Turner & Townsend’s global expertise, he will help establish the knowledge hub and project lab, setting new standards and driving innovation in programme management, digital transformation and capability building.
