Turner & Townsend appoints David Isherwood to lead its mining business in North America 

Turner & Townsend, the global professional services company, has appointed David Isherwood as its new regional lead for mining in North America, underscoring its commitment to enhancing project delivery across the mining sector.  

Based in Toronto, Canada, David Isherwood brings more than 23 years of leadership experience across mining, energy and infrastructure. His background includes managing significant capital investment programmes, industrial and mining site developments, mine closure, remediation and complex brownfield developments.  

David Isherwood has a proven track record of partnering with mine owners, operators and developers to deliver technically complex and commercially challenging projects from early development through operational delivery into closure.   

Prior to joining Turner & Townsend, David Isherwood held senior leadership positions at AtkinsRéalis, Wood, Jacobs and AECOM, where he led sustainable mining, tailings, water and environmental market sectors and built upon his strong technical foundation in project and portfolio management, environmental science, toxicology and risk assessment. 

Turner & Townsend has supported over 750 mining projects globally, providing services across project and program management, cost and commercial management, asset management, procurement, controls and advisory. The company’s mining teams work with developers, owners and operators across all commodity types to define the right delivery models and align capital projects with corporate objectives, community expectations and evolving market demands.
