Turner & Townsend appointed to support DfE’s Technical Advisor Services 2025 framework
Turner & Townsend, the global professional services company, has been appointed to the Department for Education’s (DfE) Technical Advisor Services 2025 framework, a national programme that will deliver major rebuild and refurbishment projects to schools and sixth form colleges across England.
This appointment marks a strategic win, reinforcing Turner & Townsend’s commitment to shaping the future of education infrastructure in the UK.
Under the framework, which runs for two years with the option of two one-year extensions, a full suite of turnkey services will be provided. This includes project and cost and commercial management, design services for feasibility studies, surveys, technical advisory services, contract administration and construction quality management (CQM), supporting the DfE in creating high-quality learning environments across all English regions.
The appointment builds on Turner & Townsend’s long-standing partnership with the DfE, which began in 2009 with the Free Schools programme and was followed with the Priority Schools Building Programme. It now also includes support for the Schools Rebuilding Programme, transforming the condition of school and sixth-form college buildings across England.
Turner & Townsend’s continued involvement reflects the company’s hands-on experience and expertise improving school facilities and helping create environments where pupils can thrive.
This work will help ensure children across England have access to safer, better-designed schools that support learning and wellbeing, making a tangible difference to their everyday experience in the classroom.
Chris Sargent, Managing Director, Real Estate at Turner & Townsend UK, said:
“We’re delighted to be appointed to the Technical Advisor Services 2025 framework and to continue our work with the Department for Education."
Schools are at the heart of every community and this programme will ensure they are upgraded and modernised to meet the needs of future generations.
“Our national team brings the depth of expertise needed to deliver these projects successfully and help create the best possible environments for teaching and learning.”
