NEC Contracts expands training capacity in Asia with Turner & Townsend

NEC Contracts, the internationally recognised suite of collaborative construction contracts, has appointed global professional services company Turner & Townsend as an Official Training Delivery Partner in key markets across Asia, strengthening its ability to deliver professional NEC contract management training to a growing number of organisations across the region.

For a sector that has long grappled with prolonged disputes, cost overruns and adversarial relationships between clients and contractors, NEC Contracts offers an alternative approach founded on collaboration, proactive risk management and mutual trust.

NEC Training equips professionals with the practical skills to apply these principles on live projects - reducing conflict, improving cost certainty and building stronger working relationships between all parties.

The appointment enables NEC Contracts to scale its training reach across Asia by drawing on Turner & Townsend's regional expertise and resources. Organisations will continue to access NEC Training directly through NEC Contracts, with Turner & Townsend supporting delivery capacity. Both organisations will also collaborate on business development and joint marketing to support wider adoption of NEC contracts across the region.

Rekha Thawrani, OBE, Global Director, NEC Contracts said:

"We are delighted to appoint Turner & Townsend as an Official Training Delivery Partner across our key markets in Asia."

Their regional expertise and deep understanding of the construction sector extend our ability to reach more organisations across the region, ensuring the benefits of collaborative contracting are accessible to a wider audience

“Turner & Townsend's sector credibility and regional presence make them an ideal partner to support that growth – helping us expand access to NEC Training while maintaining the quality and consistency our clients expect."

Brian Shuptrine, Regional Managing Director, Asia Pacific at Turner & Townsend said:

“Our appointment as NEC’s Training Delivery Partner in Asia reflects Turner & Townsend’s wider ambition and regional capability to reshape the way projects are delivered worldwide."

By embedding collaboration, proactive risk management and trust at the heart of contracting, we can help unlock better outcomes for all stakeholders.

“Partnering with NEC allows us to accelerate this change across the region, equipping organisations with the skills and confidence to deliver projects that are not only commercially successful but sustainable and transformative.”

Turner & Townsend joins a growing network of NEC Training Delivery Partners supporting the international adoption of NEC Contracts. The appointment reflects NEC Contracts' continued commitment to expanding access to collaborative contracting expertise across Asia Pacific.
