Global technology company Microsoft has established itself in multiple global markets – USA, Asia and Europe – and has had a presence in the Latin American market for almost 30 years.
Requiring a new headquarters in Brazil, the company set out to relocate its Sao Paulo office and Microsoft Technology Center to the modern Sao Paulo Corporate Towers complex, one of the leading business centres in the area.
The objective was to deliver a new office fit out that followed Microsoft’s distinct guidelines to reflect a modern workplace concept, helping employees to work in a more collaborate way and inspire innovation.
The new 5,400 sqm corporate space is in one of the most cutting edge buildings in São Paulo. The building is also a LEED platinum building, the first in Brazil.
Our contribution
Involved on the project from day one, we created the whole life project strategy from procurement to schedule, budget and scope.
We then provided project and cost management to deliver the executive design, construction and closeout phases with positive feedback from the client, and delivered the project on time, on budget and within the client's expectations.
Making the difference
- Responsible for the project procurement strategy, we coordinated and delivered more than 20 packages to procure and contracts to manage with more than 35 stakeholders.
- Our procurement and value engineering strategies and procurement resulted in more than BRL $6m cost savings for the project.
- Leading the whole procurement process was one of our most important activities during this project, leading to approximately BRL $6m cost avoidance.
