Freudenberg Real Estate is building a chemical production and storage facility in Maisach Gernlinden, Germany, complete with a logistics yard, two-storey office and laboratory building with a canteen.

The future users of the site will be Klüber Lubrication München SE & Co. KG, Chem-Trend (Germany) GmbH and OKS Spezialschmierstoffe GmbH.
The structure of the office, laboratory building and logistics centre will largely be determined by their required usage. Supporting grid and floor heights will be optimised for the respective usage.
Turner & Townsend has been commissioned for the following services:
- schedule and cost control of the design and construction phases
- contract management.
Making the difference
We began work on this project near the end of the basic design in July 2015. At this time, management tools were virtually non-existent.
We created, coordinated and implemented a high-level control schedule. Additionally, after examining the existing contracts, we found that the current payment plan of the architect did not correspond to the performance status of the design process. A new payment plan was negotiated, agreed upon and implemented.
A schedule and cost overview, as well as an interface overview, were created and agreed upon by all parties.
