I like to describe my role as taking care of the items that keep my clients up at night. I start by building a relationship with my clients based on trust, transparency and delivering a great product. As the lead project manager, I need to be a jack of all trades: being able to point items out on a construction site then a few hours later giving a presentation to the project executive and leadership team!

I started out with Turner & Townsend in the spring of 2014 as part of our first ever graduate development program in the USA. On my first day I started on the WarnerMedia project (formerly Time Warner) and have never left! Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to work on various aspects of our business including the North American Property Committee, graduate development recruitment, corporate social responsibility representation and most recently the 2018/2019 Chairman’s Group.

Q. Which project are you most proud of being involved in at Turner & Townsend?

A. I'm most proud of the new WarnerMedia HQ at Hudson Yards. WarnerMedia was the anchor tenant in the iconic 30 Hudson Yards building and gave other tenants the confidence to come to Hudson Yard. Bringing together seven buildings and business units under one roof while working over an active rail yard and transforming the West Side of New York City has been truly amazing!

Q. What do you most enjoy most about working at Turner & Townsend?

A. Very simple, the people. When I first started with Turner & Townsend, I was told we have an open door policy. While I’m sure most companies say that, we literally have an open door policy. Everyone from our executive team to leaders in our offices are always willing to answer any questions employees have. If it’s a casual personal life catch up or a talk about a project, everyone is willing to listen and give feedback or answer any questions.

Q. What is the emerging trend in your industry specialism and how are you responding to this?

A. The emerging trend in the real estate is the development of technology within the industry. Over the last few years, we have seen advancements in building information modeling for example and now it’s being used beyond just design coordination for construction logistics and sequencing. We’re also seeing advancements in supply chain time frames.
