My approach on all commissions is to provide a dedicated and tailored service aimed at exceeding client expectations. Having been able to win important commissions for the North West office, my approach is to secure repeat business through frameworks by making Turner & Townsend a trusted, valued and lead member of project teams.

I have been very lucky to have a wide range of experience at Turner & Townsend and work with some terrific colleagues.

A strong theme through my experience has been a one-business approach, which in retrospect has assisted me greatly throughout my progression.

I am a chartered quantity surveyor, joining Turner & Townsend as a cost manager, my promotion to Senior Cost Manager, was in recognition of strong client relationships and good project delivery.

I hope that winning work, staff development and strong client care scores will see me progress further within this excellent business.

Q. How do you contribute to Turner & Townsend making a difference?

A. I try to exceed client expectations each day and set an example for my teams to do the same.

Q. What is the emerging trend in your industry specialism and how are you responding to this?

A. Digital – our digital transformation has given our teams the skills to provide a wider more efficient cost management service and we are only at the start of this journey. Parametric modelling will become the norm within the next five years and we are well on our way to driving value on projects through these advances in technology.

Q. What are you most proud of?

A. I am most proud of nurturing talent and creating a high performing team. I pioneered the mentoring of our Manchester Life apprentices and was involved in the design and development of the scheme with client organisations. To see our apprentices succeed and develop is fantastic and has been the most enjoyable part of my time at Turner & Townsend.
