The construction industry is on the verge of a major transformation and I’m proud to be part of Turner & Townsend as we lead the way.Sammy Sharifi
Q. How has your career at Turner & Townsend developed?
A. My career has developed significantly since joining Turner & Townsend. I’ve gained exposure to a great variety of industries and sectors and become an industry leader in my field. I’ve been fortunate enough to develop a deep understanding of the delivery of major capital projects and programmes and the unique risks and challenges that they face.
Q .Which project are you most proud of being involved in at Turner & Townsend?
A. I’m proud of all the projects I’ve been involved in as they all have their own unique benefits to the industry and society as a whole. If I had to pick, it would be a research and development centre in Cambridge as a cure for cancer could be found from the ground breaking research they will be carrying out there.
Q. What is the emerging trend in your industry specialism and how are you responding to this?
A. We are seeing many disruptive trends that have the potential to significantly change the way assets are designed, built and operated. I’m currently part of a team of 16 people from around the world developing a strategy to address these trends (that’s all I can disclose for now!).
