I'm a hands-on project manager with experience in the built environment. The areas I cover include participative planning, management processes and the integration of designs, programs, strategies and policies in the area of sustainability implementation, sustainability reporting, green building certification and construction project management.

My qualifications include BSc. (Hons) in Construction Management at the University College of Estate Management (UCEM) and a BSc. in Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering from the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture & Technology (JKUAT. I’m a Green Star Accredited Professional for Africa New Building, Existing Buildings & Interiors and an IFC EDGE Expert.

Q. Which project are you most proud of being involved in at Turner & Townsend?

A. I’m most proud of being involved in The Archdiocese of Nairobi underground basement parking silo because it truly defines the redefining of the cities we live in today for the future. At the end of the project, the parking space will effortlessly accommodate up to 600 vehicles 120 vehicles, irrespective of the overall tightness of the space – which seemed practically impossible to onlookers.

Q. Detail any specialist skills or experience for which you are known.

A. As a project manager, I have strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills. I take pride in spearheading complex projects through efficient project management processes that have been developed over the years by Turner & Townsend while employing risk management techniques and building sheer commitment within the team. I’m also passionate about sustainability in the built environment and have endeavoured to be at the forefront of advocating and delivering sustainable communities & certified green buildings.

Q. How do you see your career progressing at Turner & Townsend?

A. In this 70+ year old professional services company, there are virtually infinite ways through which my career can advance and evolve. I’m always thrilled to discover how well my technical and interpersonal skills will develop and there are plenty or learning opportunities in each assignment/task and project I’m involved in. I strive to take on greater responsibility in Turner & Townsend.
