I lead our Americas business and serve as a member of our global Executive Committee, helping to shape and execute our enterprise strategy and prioritise key initiatives and investments.

I have been with our business for 25 years, starting as a graduate in our London office with roles in our UK real estate and infrastructure teams and working on major commissions for clients, such as Anglian Water, Transport for London and Network Rail, and acted as a Lead Value for Money Reporter for the Office of Rail and Road. I was privileged to lead our UK infrastructure south business as well as our rail sector across the UK.

In 2015, I moved to Australia to serve as Managing Director of our ANZ region and from 2020 served as both Managing Director for the ANZ and Asia regions. In this role, I oversaw our presence in the region expand to 29 offices across 13 countries, with nearly 2,500 people.

In 2023, I was appointed as Managing Director for the Americas region, at a pivotal moment in our expansion where significant business growth is positioning us for new opportunities, deeper client engagements and more complex commissions across the region.

Q. How do you contribute to Turner & Townsend making a difference?

A. Part of our purpose at Turner & Townsend is creating the enablers to transform the performance of projects and programmes. Our people are a key enabler, so I believe it is my responsibility to foster a working environment which values diversity and inclusion.

My goal for the Americas is to continue to include people in our business with backgrounds and perspectives as diverse as the communities in which we live and work. By creating an environment where our talented people can flourish, we can transform performance and make the difference for our clients and industry.

Q. What do you most enjoy most about working at Turner & Townsend?

A. After working in five different regions and leading three of them, I’ve seen firsthand the vast array of opportunities offered by Turner & Townsend. From career growth and development to instilling value in each individual project, our business lives its values for our people, our clients, and our communities.

I enjoy the opportunities to build relationships each day, both internally and externally, that will help our clients and society in meeting future challenges with confidence.

Q. What is the emerging trend in your industry specialism and how are you responding to this?

A. In this era of digitalisation and capital investments to tackle macro issues such as resilience - whether it be economic, social or climate resilience - we are seeing great strides in innovations throughout the asset lifecycle, as well as an improved environment for unlocking the enablers to improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the construction industry.

Our business has the global reach and local expertise to help our clients make that adoption as smooth as possible and show the benefits of a programmatic approach which is backed up by a way of delivering projects and programmes, technology, sustainability and data literacy. From streamlining project timelines to improving cost and commercial management, sustainability, and safety standards, we recognise the opportunity that is before us.

Much is still needed to bridge the gap between capability and needs, but I believe in our responsibility as programme leaders to help with that transition and create an environment that fosters collaboration across the industry, and in doing so, create solutions that have not been possible before.
