Segun is a Director based in the United Arab Emirates and has over thirty years’ experience in various capacities in civil engineering and construction. Segun has spent the last ten years providing professional delay analysis expertise on major disputes, arbitrations and litigations related to construction projects and programmes across the Middle East, Africa and internationally.

He regularly advises clients on planning, programming and delay-related issues on major construction projects. He has been appointed as a testifying planning expert to arbitration tribunals and has been commissioned to produce expert reports in support of solicitors and counsel in construction dispute settlement negotiations.

Segun’s extensive experience as a forensic planner and delay analyst has involved providing overall claims management on numerous projects – including defending and pursuing claims, and developing strategies aimed at achieving commercial settlement.

Segun Faniran is a qualified civil engineer with an Honours Degree in Civil Engineering and postgraduate qualifications in Construction Project Management and Construction Law. He is also a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Australia (FIEAust) and the Chartered Institute of Arbitration (FCIArb).

He has international experience on projects in Nigeria, Australia, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Oman and Kuwait. Major projects on which he has been involved in include airport, road, rail, water and wastewater, power, oil & gas, retail, government and education.
