Winning ways at the Africa Property Investment Awards

Our Africa team has scooped two API awards for Best Property Services Group of the Year and Best Industrial Development at a virtual ceremony on 8 September 2021, solidifying our position as market leaders in real estate across the African continent.

The API awards recognise and promote excellence in Africa’s rising real estate sector and champion development standards and global best practice. Open to developers, professional teams, consultants, suppliers and property owners in the African real estate industry, the awards are judged by a panel of experts and thought leaders.

The Best Industrial Development award was for Nairobi Gate Industrial Park - a project for Actis and Improvon. The industrial park was developed to meet the growing demand by multinationals looking for specialised and modern industrial spaces in Nairobi. The project differentiates itself by being one of the leading grade A warehouse developments in Kenya, which is a new concept introduced in the market. We supported the Actis/Improvon team on this project delivering project management services.

Stephen McCartney Regional Director for Africa, commented:

These two awards are a great recognition of our efforts in raising the standards for construction in Africa, driving productivity, safety, efficiency and sustainability. I believe that by leading the way, we have an opportunity to set the pace and make a positive contribution to the transformation of our industry. I am really proud of my team who have shown strength and resilience during this year of the pandemic.

“Our impact on the pan African footprint, our consistency and commitment to deliver high quality services, our strength and resilience during the pandemic, our sustainability initiatives and our digital transformation programme are key elements that differentiate us in the market and from our competitors.”
