Thames Water framework appointment
We have been appointed by Thames Water to the Commercial Framework and the Programme Management Office (PMO) Framework for its Asset Management Plan 7 (AMP7).
Thames Water has taken the decision to design and implement an “Intelligent Client” model for the delivery of AMP7. To achieve this, it will develop in-house capability in a number of key areas, including asset management, PMO, programme management, project management, technical assurance and commercial management.
David Whysall, UK Infrastructure Managing Director said:
In AMP7 Thames Water has set out a capital programme that is more challenging than ever. Its successful delivery will require collaboration right across the supply chain and all the way through to customers. This will ensure that outcomes can be achieved at a lower cost and with enhanced value.
“Our five-year appointment on these frameworks significantly strengthens our relationship with Thames Water. It also draws on the depth of experience we have in the water sector having worked with most of the UK water companies over many years. We are committed to supporting Thames Water on its AMP7 journey and our success will be in enabling it to be recognised as an industry leader in achieving its outcomes.”
Tim Horton, Capital Delivery Director at Thames Water said:
We have ambitious plans for the next five years including a further reduction of leakage, reducing interruptions to water supplies and reducing pollutions. Our suppliers will be key to helping us achieve those goals through establishing a Thames Water led, forward looking programme management office.
