South Africa team recognised in Standard Bank’s Top Women awards

Our team in South Africa has been recognised for their outstanding work in natural resources, construction and infrastructure at the Standard Bank Top Women awards, winning the 'Top Gender-empowered Organisation: Construction & Infrastructure Development' category.

These annual awards recognise and honour outstanding leadership, inspiration, vision, and innovation in organisations that help women rise to the top of their careers.

With an overarching theme of ‘Brave conversations 2.0 that uplift and drive change’, this year’s awards acknowledged those ‘Agents of Change’ who have had a considerable influence on women in South Africa by demonstrating unwavering vision and innovative leadership.

This is our third Standard Bank Top Women award in three years.

Stephen McCartney, Managing Director, Africa commented:

Our gender-based initiatives are innovative, sustainable, and result in the development of women. Our focus on gender empowerment improves the operations of our business and those of others and has a positive impact on economic growth within our industry. We are proud that women make up 48 percent of our business in Africa.
