Pledging support to the UK armed forces

Paul Howlett

Head of Communications and Marketing

We have pledged our support to the military network and their families by signing the Armed Forces Covenant.

The Armed Forces Covenant represents a promise by the nation that those who serve or have served, and their families, are treated fairly. To date over 3,000 organisations have signed the covenant, including businesses and charities.

By signing the covenant, we are making a commitment to being a ‘forces friendly’ employer. This means helping retired members of the armed forces to integrate into the civilian workforce where their hugely valuable and varied talents can make a significant contribution to the business.

Patricia Moore, our UK Managing Director, said:

The military network hold critical skills that we need to support our work across infrastructure, real estate and natural resources.  As an equal opportunities employer, we are delighted to sign the Armed Forces Covenant - supporting members of the forces to pursue careers in our industry both alongside and following their time in active service.”

Businesses, charitable and public sector organisations of all sizes who wish to support the armed forces community can sign the covenant. For more information visit the Armed Forces Covenant: guidance and support page.

Managing Director, Patricia Moore, was joined by Major General Benjamin J Bathurst CBE, General Officer Commanding London District and members of our Turner & Townsend veterans and reservists network at the official signing at Turner & Townsend’s office in London.
