Associate Director

We are pleased to announce that Associate Director Noluthando Molao has received the Pioneer in Innovation award title at this year’s Women in Construction awards.

The awards recognise excellence in the African construction industry, showcasing the achievements of individuals and organisations who have “exemplified inspiration, vision, innovation and leadership for women in construction”.

The Pioneer in Innovation category award winner is selected for achievements creating business value through leveraging new technology, information, processes, and management approaches within the built environment.

Commenting on her win, Noluthando said:

“Winning the award is recognition of all the hard work I’ve put in over the last ten years while building my career. I’d like to encourage other women wanting to break into the construction industry by saying that anything is possible with hard work, perseverance and a plan. It’s vital to remember no one wins alone. I have learnt that different people have different strengths and one should be able to acknowledge this and draw from this.”

The awards ceremony, held at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Johannesburg on 10 May 2016, was attended by over 300 guests from the construction industry.

Turner & Townsend was appointed as Project Managers and Cost Managers on the ORTIA Platform Extension Project at the Gautrain Station, which Noluthando successfully handed over to the Bombela Concession Company on the 23rd May 2016. A representative from the Gautrain Management Agency wrote: "Noluthando is an honest reflection in transformation of women in the construction sector.”
