New fit out for German Embassy in Tel Aviv
We have won the contract to fit out the German Embassy in Tel Aviv, Israel as part of a four-year global framework agreement for Germany’s embassies and consulates across the world.
- We have been appointed to deliver the fit out of the German Embassy in Tel Aviv, Israel
- We are responsible for providing general planning services, including project as well as cost and commercial management on the 5,500m2 renovation
- The project is the second to be commissioned as part of a four-year global framework for the German Federal Foreign Office.
The project, to refurbish 5,500m² of new office space over five floors including parts of the entry lobby area on the ground level, is being delivered by our team in Munich. The specific role involves general planning services, including project and cost and commercial management, design services, and managing controls and performance. A local partner is also providing support and the project is due for completion by the end of 2018.
The German embassy in Israel is one of the approx.230 German diplomatic and consular representations abroad. It is the second high-profile commission for us under the framework agreement, which recently secured a similar fit out role for the new German consulate in Cape Town, South Africa.
We have a long-established relationship with the Federal Foreign Office (FFO), dating back to 2005. We have already delivered four Consulate Generals in China, one in Australia and the visa section for the German Embassy in Kuwait. Currently, we are offering turnkey solution for the German Embassy and Goethe Institute in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Ilse Boll-Loibl, Project Director said: “We’re pleased to be playing such a key role in developing Germany’s extensive property portfolio worldwide and the project in Tel Aviv is another compelling example of our close relationship with the German FFO.
“Having worked alongside the FFO for so long we are fully aware of its specific requirements and internal processes. Our team is able to react quickly and efficiently to deliver the best results, and above all guarantee a high level of security in planning for those highly specialised projects.”
A spokesperson for the German Federal Foreign Office added: “Turner & Townsend has been our partner for many years, successfully handling all aspects of the planning, building and managing on many of our projects.
“The team always provides meticulous planning and robust controls on all our projects ensuring challenges are effectively addressed to our time, cost and quality objectives.”
