Inspiring action with global community week

Teams from around Turner & Townsend’s 97 offices have recently taken part in our global community week, an annual event designed to inspire everyone to take action to contribute to their local communities while recognising the impact our people have made so far.

Across the business people have joined forces in community-based activities from major volunteering events in North America to sponsored sleep-outs on the streets of Newcastle, Bristol and Belfast. For the first time staff also made personal pledges for the year ahead, making their own commitments on how they would support our core community objective of creating opportunities for children and young people.

The unique pledge approach brought together staff from around the world, with people sharing their commitments both on an internal pledge wall and through Twitter via the hashtag #TTwhatsyourpledge, including personal commitments from senior management.

Chief Executive Officer Vincent Clancy said: “By inspiring people to take action we aim to create more opportunities for children and young people to achieve their potential right across our global business.

"We have seen exceptional activity throughout this year’s community week and I look forward to seeing our people deliver on their pledges over the coming year and do even more to make a lasting positive impact on the communities we work in.”
