Helpdesk launched to support Middle East clients with COVID-19 contract issues
COVID-19 is having a significant impact on many construction projects currently being undertaken across the Middle East. We have launched a Contract Services helpdesk to support Middle East-based clients on any contract issues related to the current pandemic.
The helpdesk is designed to support clients in taking practical measures to manage their projects operating under typical contracts used in the Gulf region.
The service can also assist clients in protecting their commercial interests if a project shuts down or detailed protocols are needed for the closure of a site or project team’s office.
Operated by a team of highly experienced contract and procurement specialists, the helpdesk provides initial practical advice to clients to help them manage projects operating under FIDI, public sector and NEC contracts. Our team of experts are on hand to help clients maintain a focus on safety, speed and site security.
The helpdesk is offering clients one hour of free advice on any contractual problem. Please email [email protected] for more information.
We have also produced COVID-19 guidance (PDF) that provides clients with an overview of how epidemics of this nature may be dealt with under the standard forms of contract commonly used across the region.
