Double win at the 2020 Institute of Asset Management Awards
Together with Iarnród Éireann (Irish Rail), our specialist asset advisory arm, AMCL, have won both the Team Achievement and Project Achievement awards at the virtual IAM Annual Conference 2020 on 3-5 November.
The annual awards, as voted for by peers, recognise the outstanding contributions and achievements of individuals, teams and organisations in the profession of asset management.
The two wins acknowledge the work undertaken with the International Union of Railways (UIC) to produce a series of instructional asset management guides which can be used across the rail industry to develop, embed and understand asset management systems and strategic asset management plans.
Bringing together representatives from 11 national railways across Europe as well as AMCL, the UIC group are focused on developing strategies and initiatives to improve business performance and increase rail transport investment.
Martin Pilling, Global Operations Director at AMCL said: “I’m pleased to win these two important awards for the work that the UIC are pioneering in the sector.
This work will support the rail industry in strategically planning assets and set a baseline for governments in what rail asset plans should consider.”
Jude Carey, Head of Asset Management at Irish Rail said: “AMCL’s legacy in rail and position as asset management leaders were invaluable as part of this work.”
