Double victory for Australia at national Project Management Achievement Awards

Following our state-level success at the Project Management Achievement Awards, our Australian team has achieved two wins at the national Project Management Achievement Awards.

The Project Management Achievement Awards (PMAAs) are hosted by the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM), with state and national events to recognise, honour and promote outstanding achievements in programme and project leadership across Australia.

The winning projects

With seven of our award submissions shortlisted by the judges for the national awards, the winning projects were:

EastCo Development Project (Department of Transport & Planning Building)

Category: Construction/ Engineering

The now multiple-award winning EastCo Development is an A-Grade commercial tower accommodating 1,000 staff in Ringwood, Melbourne. We helped to deliver the 11-storey building as project managers of the development on behalf of Queensland Investment Corporation and Department of Transport and Planning.

This project has achieved a 5-star Greenstar Self Assessed rating and a 6-star ‘World Leadership’ Greenstar rating for the fit-out. The development is currently on track to achieving a 5-star NABERS energy and 4-star NABERS water target rating.

Heron Island Seawater Intake Project

Category: Regional Projects

The University of Queensland (UQ) operates the UQ Heron Island Research Station, a state-of-the-art marine science research facility for ongoing research and operations.

UQ appointed us as project managers to facilitate the replacement of the seawater intake pipe and deliver a robust and sustainable product with minimal disruption to research operations, the local environment and island tourism.

Darren Munton, Managing Director, ANZ, said:

Having our project teams recognised by the Australian Institute of Project Management with two National awards shows our commitment to service excellence and building trusting, collaborative client relationships.

“Our team previously won seven Chapter awards at state level, so I’m proud of both our people and the projects we have delivered.”
