Appointed Surrey County Council’s capital works delivery partner

We have been appointed by Surrey County Council as its sole capital programme of works delivery partner to manage Land & Property’s ambitious capital programme.

The Council’s fully funded programme supports its ‘Community Vision for 2030’ – its plan for a strong, vibrant and successful Surrey. Through the plan vital services such as highways, waste management, countryside maintenance works, adult social care, children's services, community hubs and essential cultural services will be developed or upgraded; creating clean, safe, and green homes and environments of which everyone in Surrey can be proud.

Covering a four-year period, with the option to extend a further two years, we will establish and run a Delivery and Assurance Office (DAO) to govern and optimise Land & Property’s programme of works. We will also provide a full suite of project management, cost management, and employer’s agent services on all live and future projects; collaboratively managing the strategic architectural and technical engineering design partners and contractors through the project lifecycle.

Through our Social Value Charter, we will support the Surrey community by providing work experience opportunities to local people, and tailored business and careers advice to students and small businesses.

Programme Director Drew Melrose said:

“The pandemic has had a dramatic impact on our local communities, but it has also emphasised the importance of connecting people and place. We are looking forward to working in close partnership with the Council and all its partners, drawing upon our decades of experience and expertise to successfully unlock the potential of the County’s land, assets, and people.

Together we will help improve the quality of the local facilities, help deliver on the ambitious green and transformation agendas, and create long-term societal value.
