At Turner & Townsend we believe the development of our staff is critical in order to ensure that individuals are able to achieve their full potential and enable us to deliver the highest quality service to our clients.
To ensure this happens every employee has a Learning & Development Plan which they agree with their line manager during the appraisal. Learning & Development can be achieved in a variety of ways:
Personal learning activities
All employees are urged to take responsibility for their own development which may be through coaching from peers or managers, undertaking new challenges, or attending one of the many ‘lunchtime learning’ sessions which are run across our offices. We also have an e-learning system which provides knowledge on a full range of areas.
Turner & Townsend training
Turner & Townsend has a full range of in-house training courses available for all levels of staff which covers technical and behavioural skills.
We also run a series of programmes to address the development needs of certain groups in the company. These include:
- Graduate Development Programmes, aligned to RICS, APM and other Professional Bodies
- Management Development Programmes, aimed at Associate Director Level and above
- Global Leadership Programmes, aimed at our senior managers and directors
- NVQ in Business Administration, for all our administrative staff
External training and professional qualifications
We are proud to support employees in undertaking external qualifications or training as appropriate to their roles, including RICS, APM, MBA, MSC etc. This may range from a 1 day external course to Postgraduate qualifications.
