With increasing risks to existing fossil fuel energy supplies, doubts over the reliability of supplies from some parts of the world and growing pressure on governments to reduce CO2 emissions, the demand for energy generated from nuclear power plants appears to be increasing across the world. In addition to the construction of new nuclear power stations in Finland, France, China and the US, nuclear power stations are currently also being constructed in Japan, India and South Korea amongst other countries and in total, there are 28 nuclear power stations currently under construction.

Our Expertise

Turner & Townsend and its alliance partner is appointed as Programme Controls Partner at all licensed nuclear sites under the NDA-sponsored capital programme, including the control of the delivery of approximately £1 billion per annum of project, operation and maintenance work for Sellafield Ltd.

Our Track Record

Our track record and expertise range from cost management of large scale complex projects such as Heathrow's £4.2 billion T5, programme controls for Dublin Airport Authority's €2.0 billion airport expansion, to our strong health and safety credentials from working in the energy, oil & gas and mining and metals sectors.
