Turner & Townsend opened its first Africa office in Johannesburg in 1982. The company has now established itself as a leading construction and management consultancy in Southern Africa with 13 strategically located offices across the region, employing 251 staff in six countries.
Turner & Townsend has a wealth of experience on projects in both the private and public sector covering commercial developments, education, health, transport, housing, infrastructure, tourism and leisure as well as energy. Recent commissions include the new King Shaka International Airport, the Cobble Walk development, L'Aghulas Links, Homeland Energy Corporation feasibility studies and the PPC expansion projects.
Our expertise has facilitated the development of long standing business relationships with blue chip clients such as Anglo Platinum, BHP Billiton, Lonmin, Old Mutual, Nissan, Vodacom, ABSA Capital, PFG, Murray & Roberts and Group 5.
Turner & Townsend provides its client base in Africa with the comprehensive services of a major international company, tailored to local conditions and requirements.

and also an associated office in Angola.
Turner & Townsend has also been involved in projects in other African countries such as Namibia, Ivory Coast, Mali, Algeria, Democratic Republic Congo, Lesotho, Swaziland, Ethiopia, Uganda, Nigeria, Egypt, Burundi and Libya.
