Having established a presence in South America in 2009, Turner and Townsend’s growth necessitated opening of a further office in Lima, Peru.
The permanent presence of Turner & Townsend in Lima will enable enhanced support of existing clients in Peru and will increase the ability of the firm to capitalise on the many opportunities in this market.
Whilst mining is a dominant part of the Peruvian economy, Turner & Townsend will pursue opportunities in the infrastructure and the energy sectors.
Our commission with Antamina (the JV operation between BHBP Xstrata, Teck and the Mitsubishi Corporation ) in the Peruvian Andes is growing, and we have supported other property related commissions in Peru.
With the knowledge gained from its successful operation in Chile, Turner & Townsend - whilst recognising the differences between the two countries, is confident that its expansion into South America will be enhanced by the establishment of a Peruvian company and a permanent office in the capital.
