Managing the construction, maintenance and decommissioning of nuclear power facilities demands special expertise and experience. With the global need for security of base load supply and the reduction of carbon emissions, nuclear power is moving up the agenda in an energy hungry world.

As worldwide pressure mounts to develop alternative sources of energy and reduce CO2 emissions, the role that nuclear power will play in our future appears to be changing rapidly. Over forty new nuclear power stations are currently under construction around the world, with at least a further 300 planned for operation by 2030.  Existing facilities also need a unique degree of skill and care in their operation, maintenance and decommissioning.

Turner & Townsend has a dedicated nuclear energy team that provides clients with all our expertise in the management of major infrastructure and development programmes, and all the experience we have gained from helping clients like British Nuclear Group to shape the future of the global nuclear power industry.

''We found Turner & Townsend to be an excellent choice as our partner for the delivery of programme controls at Sellafield. They were particularly supportive of our need to develop programme controls capability with in the organisation and worked with us to align their talent in a delivery role as well as an instructional role.''
