German Embassy - renovation project, Jakarta
Purpose-built in the 1990’s and occupying eight floors in central Jakarta, the German Embassy requires some major renovation works, focusing on upgrading the mechanical and electrical services, as well as areas such as entry lobby and assembly hall. The air-conditioning system, sanitary plumbing and all related electrical services are to be completely renewed. Bathrooms and kitchenettes are to be renovated accordingly. There will also be an upgrade of fire safety services.
Turner & Townsend, jointly with German MEP consultants, undertook a thorough building assessment to document and determine, together with the client, all required renovation works. This documentation is now used to prepare and submit a relevant report for budget and construction approval within the FFO. Following this phase, preparation of construction drawings, tender, and supervision of the architectural works during construction will be carried out.
