Dubai-based Al Tayer Insignia opened its second Bloomingdale’s location in the Middle East in Kuwait City’s 360 Mall in March, 2017. 

Considered to be one of the Middle East’s most luxurious retail locations, Bloomingdale’s spans 93,000 square feet across three levels.

Offering a curated selection of merchandise from some of the world’s most iconic Beauty, Accessories, Footwear, and Ready-to-Wear brands, Bloomingdale’s in Kuwait City gives its customers a differentiated experience with luxurious services, personal shopping expertise, a dedicated VIP entrance, and an exciting café.

With its distinctive contemporary design, Al Tayer has delivered a sophisticated retail destination that brings international luxury standards to Kuwait’s discerning clientele.

Our contribution

Turner & Townsend provided a full range of project and commercial management services from concept planning to completion and supported construction, quality management, contract administration, procurement, and design coordination.

Making the difference

Turner & Townsend created a bespoke communication protocol to enable the effective coordination of the design and approval process necessitated by the fact that the Lead Designer was based in Amsterdam; the Lighting Designer in London; the Digital Specialist in Paris; and individual vendors located across the globe.

Turner & Townsend were on site to ensure fit-out works, including complex lighting features, display panels, and other MEP installations were carried out.
