Preferred provider of project controls on EDF Energy’s Hinkley Point C

We are the preferred supplier on a series of functions for the proposed construction of the UK’s first new nuclear site in a generation – EDF Energy’s Hinkley Point C power station.

We have been providing project controls for EDF Energy’s design team in Paris for the past three years, and are now the preferred provider of project controls for the proposed Hinkley Point C power station in Sommerset, England.

Following an extensive procurement process, we are also the preferred supplier on a framework providing project management and NEC contract management services for the proposed programme.

Turner & Townsend Chief Executive Officer Vincent Clancy commented:

“We’re delighted to be building on our existing relationship with one of the world’s leading generators of nuclear energy, strengthening our nuclear skillset and playing our part in a programme that could create up to 25,000 jobs during construction.

“Having pioneered the use of project controls in collaborative environments on some of the UK’s most prestigious major programmes, including Crossrail and Heathrow, our project controls capability is best in class. Once the final investment decision is made our ability to set-up quickly and drive collaboration across the supply chain will be crucial on a programme of the scale, complexity and ambition of Hinkley Point C.”
