Peter McGettrick appointed new managing director of our UK advisory business
We have appointed Peter McGettrick as Managing Director to lead our advisory arm, one of the fastest growing areas in its UK business.
Having joined us in 2016 as Head of Health, Safety and Quality, Peter’s new role sees him lead advisory services in the UK.
Working across our three core sectors of real estate, infrastructure and natural resources, the team brings together over 300 specialists from several disciplines to establish, control, protect and improve programme, project and operational performance. He also joins the UK Management Board.
Growing over 80 percent in the last three years, our advisory business has gone from strength to strength. The acquisition of operational excellence consultant Suiko in 2016 helped enhance our lean thinking experience in the construction sector.
Patricia Moore, UK Managing Director and Executive Board Member, commented:
“I am delighted to welcome Peter to the UK Board to lead our advisory services. Our health and safety business has grown significantly under Peter’s direction in the last two years. I look forward to working with him to continue to drive our ambitious growth plans.”
Speaking about the opportunities his new role will bring, Peter said:
“We have a fascinating marketplace that is challenging but opportunity rich. Planned spend in the UK’s infrastructure and real estate is at unprecedented levels and investors, developers and owners are looking to get real value out of their land, real estate and other assets across almost all sectors.”
Peter has held a number of leadership roles throughout his career. Before joining Turner & Townsend, he was Divisional Managing Director for Capita Property and Infrastructure.
